Wow! “Un Requiem pour Mister Child” has barely wrapped, and Mélanie has already booked another movie to film. It’s called “Et soudain, tout le monde me manque”, the second film of “Jusqu’à toi” director Jennifer Devoldère. So far, all we know is that Michel Blanc will be playing Mélanie’s father, Eli, and that Mélanie’s character is named Justine. The film will focus on the relationship between Eli and Justine after they receive the news that Suzanne, Eli’s fourth wife, is expecting — leaving Justine no longer the youngest child. It starts filming at the end of July through mid-September.

Mélanie was interviewed by Premiere.fr to promote the DVD release of her film “Jusqu’à toi”, but she talks about other projects, like Basterds and her music, as well. You can watch the video and look at screencaptures below!

I’ve added DVD screencaptures to the gallery from Mélanie’s film “Jusqu’à toi”, also known through its various title changes as “Every Jack Has a Jill”, “C’est toujours mieux quand on sourit sur la photo”, and “Shoe at Your Foot.” It was originally in theaters this past July (though filmed in the fall of 2007) and sees Mélanie alongside “National Treasure” actor Justin Bartha.

The French official site for Mélanie’s summer film “Jusqu’à toi” is pretty sparse, but the Russian official site that launched for the film’s November 26 premiere in the country has a little more content, including four previously-unseen film stills and a cute new poster! I’ve added them to the gallery. If you happen to speak Russian, let us know if there’s anything interesting in the written content! Also, “Jusqu’à toi” is getting a DVD release after all — it hits shelves this February 10th. I’ve pre-ordered a copy of the DVD, so screencaptures shouldn’t be too long to follow after that.

While we’re waiting patiently for the Hollywood premiere of Inglourious Basterds and the media that will follow leading up to August 19th/21st, I’ve added screencaptures of a couple recent online interviews to the gallery. The first one is from back in May at the Cannes Film Festival, where Mélanie talks about Inglourious Basterds, and the second one is from July at Canal+’s website where she talks about Jusqu’à toi and her future projects. You can watch the originals at the Allocine and Canal+ websites.

More photos have been added to both the Berlin photocall and premiere galleries. There was also an after party for the film and I’ve added photos from that as well.

Finally, today, July 29th, Jusqu’à toi officially opens in French cinemas. Go see it and tell us what you think!
A little while ago, Allocine put up a behind the scenes look at the upcoming romantic-comedy, Shoe at Your Foot. Intentionally, I waited to update about this, so not to defer from all the Paris promotion that was going on. However, I finally added the video and screencaptures to the media archives. Like usual, Mélanie shows a spunky and fun loving side in this video, goofing around with co-star Justin Bartha. We English speaking folk can get a bit of insight from Justin, as he talks candidly about the project in the video. No word yet on when Shoe at Your Foot is to be released.
