Sad news! The nominations for the 2010 César Awards have been announced and though Mélanie’s performance in “Le Concert” was well-received, she wasn’t nominated. “Le Concert” did, however, manage to grab several coveted nominations in non-acting categories. The film is nominated for Best Picture, Director, Original Screenplay, Music, Sound, and Editing.

Mélanie was also unfortunately passed over at the BAFTAs, but she was always more of a long-shot at the English speaking ceremonies. It seems a safe bet to say that at the least we’ll see her at the Césars themselves at the end of February!

I was right — we didn’t have to wait long at all for more “La Rafle” content! A teaser trailer has been released, which you can view below, as well as screenaptures that have been added to the gallery. I’ve also added some belated “Le Concert” screencaptures from the full-length theatrical trailer and a brief making-of.

The Paris premiere of new film “Le Concert” was held October 24th, and I’ve added pictures from both the premiere itself and the after party at the VIP room. Mélanie’s blue floor-length satin dress is Miu Miu S/S 2010, paired with a more natural-looking choice of hair and makeup. Enjoy!

And we’re back! Apologies for the extended downtime — really, we missed the site as much as you did, trust me! However, the silver lining is that now in the next few days we have tons of content to update you with. Much of Mélanie’s October while we were away was spent promoting her new film Le Concert, which has been in theatres since November 4th and also proven to be a French box-office success. The film was fairly well-received by critics, Mélanie’s performance in particular, which some have said outshines her work in Inglourious Basterds. Fortunately I was able to cap a few of her recent television appearances!

She was on Bord Cadre and Le Grand Journal (again!) on Canal+, and between the two we have over 1,000 new screencaptures in the gallery.

Hey everyone, this is Ivonne updating. Just letting you know real quick that I’ve added new stills from Mélanie’s upcoming project “Le Concert” to our gallery and I have to say she looks gorgeous (as usual). Enjoy!

There’s a nice little feature on Le Figaro’s website about Mélanie which summarizes her career from her discovery up until the present day and then her future projects. No breaking news, but she does talk briefly about her character in La Rafle. I’m rusty with translating and not fluent in the first place but I am hoping in the future after I brush up we’ll be able to bring you (amateur) translations of some of her French press for readers who don’t speak the language. It’s better than nothing, right?

En ce moment, c’est l’actrice française que tout le monde s’arrache. Cet été, pas moins de trois films sortent en salle, affichant son joli minois, sa fine ­silhouette fluide et sa peau diaphane. Also, I happened to stumble upon a newly-posted teaser trailer for her next post-Basterds film, Le Concert! It’s only 30 seconds long, but Mélanie-centric, and we finally learn the name of her character: Anne-Marie Jacquet. I’ll add screencaptures to the gallery soon, but in the meantime, here’s the video of it. Enjoy!

Sad day! Mélanie was not at the Inglourious Basterds London premiere today. Presumably she’s still in Budapest shooting La Rafle, as reported here, but I’m sure that even if she doesn’t hit any of the other international premieres she’ll be at the Hollywood one. I do, however, have some other small gallery updates to tide us over. First is our first glimpse at Mélanie in Le Concert, where she plays an as-of-yet unnamed character who is the world’s best violinist. The quality is really poor, but hopefully as the November release date nears we’ll see some high-quality stills. According to WWD, she wears a white Elie Saab gown during the final scene of the movie — it looks like this must be the dress.
