Mélanie was on the episode of “Le Grand Journal” that aired May 2nd to promote her album, and she also gave a live performance of her song “Circus”. The physical release isn’t until May 2nd still, but Mélanie’s debut album “En t’attendant” has been released digitally – finally! Considering she first went to record in May 2009 and the initial announcement she was going into music was even earlier, it feels like we’ve been waiting forever for this. I’ve added pictures to the gallery from her first live concert that took place April 20th in Cenon, France, as well as the album artwork. Take a look, and go out and buy the album!

The first trailer for Mélanie’s upcoming film “Et soudain, tout le monde me manque”, with “Jusqu’à toi” director Jennifer Devoldère, has been released finally! The movie is due in France April 20th.

A little while back, the trailer for Mélanie’s upcoming film “Beginners” was finally released. It was very critically well-received at TIFF and the trailer looks promising as well — I can’t wait!

Mélanie was also recently on TV chat show Le Grand Journal to promote “Requiem pour une tueuse.” I can’t embed the video, but you can watch it on the CanalPlus website! See screencaptures below. Something minor but unfortunate that she reveals in this interview is that she won’t be at this year’s César Awards, the first time she hasn’t attended in four years, even though Tarantino will be there to receive an award. Hopefully we’ll still see her out and about again soon with Paris Fashion Week coming up!

Hello, everyone! I know updates have been slow lately, but I’ll be putting up some late goodies over these next few days. First, a happy birthday to Mélanie! She turns 28 today. Second, the first single from Mélanie’s upcoming album has been released. The title is “En t’attendant” and there’s an accompanying music video, which you can see below, as well as screencaptures in the gallery.

You can download the mp3 of the song for free on http://www.melanielaurent-music.com by signing up for the mailing list! Mélanie can also be seen in concert on April 24th in Paris at the Printemps de Bourges. The album itself is to be released a week or so later, on May 2nd.
