Mélanie is set to star in yet another upcoming film, but this time she’ll be working with a French director again. The title is “Lettre d’une inconnue” / “Letter From An Unknown Woman” and will be a second adaptation of the novel of the same name. Read a bit more below. The film’s director Christian Carion previously directed Mélanie’s “Inglourious Basterds” co-stars Diane Kruger and Daniel Brühl in “Joyeux Noël”.
Melanie Laurent To Star In Letter From An Unknown Woman
Inglourious Basterds and Beginners star Melanie Laurent has signed on to star in Christian Carion‘s adaptation of Letter From An Unknown Woman. The story follows “an author who, while reading a letter written by a woman he does not remember, gets glimpses into her life story.”
Director Christian Carion‘s is known for his fantastic work in Europe with films like L’affaire Farewell and Joyeux Noel, which both starred Laurent’s Inglourious Basterds co-star Diane Kruger.
Laurent is currently shooting Now You See Me alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffelo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.
Once she finishes that she will star in Night Train To Lisbon with Christopher Lee, Jack Huston, Vanessa Redgrave and Jeremy Irons, which will take her right up to the summer which is when Letters From An Unknown Woman will begin filming.
No official release date has been set but it is likely to be released in 2013.
